Dalian: Dalian Shipbuilding
Industry Corporation (DSIC) has announced that its subsidiary, Dalian
Shipbuilding Industry Marine Services (DSIMS), has acquired an import license
for the scrapping of ships and becomes the first shipyard in northeast China to
have such a license.
DSIMS, invested in by DSIC (67%),
PIL (18%) and Anshan Steel (15%), has developed 500,000 square metres of space
for ship repair, ship breaking and offshore conversion on Changxing Island off
Dalian
